Super 9 Mobile Film Fest will participate in The Shortest Day Short Film Celebration, a worldwide event dedicated to short films. The Shortest Day Short Film Celebration was first started by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image (CNC) in France that has now spread to some 20 other countries. This is a free event dedicated to the promotion and screening of short films, and this year we will present three from the Super 9 Mobile catalog!
The event will take place today, December 18th, in the city of Porto at the Mira Forum art gallery.
The three films we will be screening are:
“The Word” by Thomas Jefferson
“The word” was the winner of the 6th edition’s Best Experimental Film.
Synopsis: an experimental short film that uses Spoken Word and iconic imagery to explore the Black experience in America especially as it relates to the justice system.
“From Maria” by Ana Moreira
“From Maria” is competing in the 7th edition of Super 9 Mobile.
Synopsis: “From Maria”, is a letter from the young to the future generations about women’s role in society and how everyone is responsible for their empowerment. What will be the future of Maria?
“ O Intruso” de Hugo Pinto
“O Intruso” competed in the 6th Edition of Super 9 Mobile.
Synopsis: The mirror’s sole function is not to reflect an image; If the soul becomes a perfect mirror, it participates in the image and through this participation undergoes a transformation. There is therefore a configuration between the contemplated subject and the contemplating mirror. (Chevalier, 2001, p. 396).
Join us today, December 18th, in the city of Porto at the Mira Forum art gallery.
