SINOPSE

Song of Syria offers an aesthetic and political reflection on the armed conflict taking place in Syria since 2013. Made from recordings Air strikes posted on Youtube , this installation attempts to offer a reflection on the media censorship carried out by the regime of Bashar al-Assad and illegibility of the conflict. The war and its dead are invisible here to see given hollow while being embodied in the camera movements and the hovering threat of a helicopter flight.
